Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of system design Roadmap at systemdrd.com β€” an online platform for mastering system design, distributed systems, AI engineering, and hands-on software architecture.

Last updated: 2026-07-29

1. Agreement to These Terms

By creating an account, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise accessing system design Roadmap (the β€œPlatform”), you agree to these Terms of Service (β€œTerms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

The Platform is operated under the Daily Coding / system design Roadmap brand and is available primarily at systemdrd.com and related domains.

2. Who These Terms Are For

system design Roadmap is built for software engineers, backend developers, architects, and engineering leaders who want practical training in:

  • system design and distributed systems engineering
  • AI agents, LLMs, RAG, and AI system architecture
  • Hands-on implementation courses with real codebases
  • MLOps, interview prep, and production-style architecture labs

If you use the Platform on behalf of a company or team, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. The Platform Services

Depending on your plan, system design Roadmap may provide:

  • Courses & lessons β€” structured curricula on system design, distributed systems, Go, .NET, AI architecture, and related topics
  • Interactive playgrounds β€” simulations such as load balancers, topology labs, and architecture sandboxes
  • Learning paths & workflows β€” guided practice for interviews and production design patterns
  • E-books & reference library β€” downloadable blueprints, cheatsheets, and interview bundles
  • Newsletters & forums β€” community and editorial content for ongoing learning
  • Private GitHub repositories β€” source code access for eligible paid plans
  • AI-assisted learning tools β€” explanations, summaries, and study helpers where enabled

We may add, change, or retire features to improve quality, security, or curriculum relevance. Material changes to paid entitlements will be communicated through the Platform or email where practical.

4. Accounts, Free Access & Trials

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Free-registered and free-trial access may include limited lessons, e-books, or trial course access. Free trials may require a payment method; cancel before the trial ends if you do not want paid billing to begin. Plan details are listed on our pricing page.

5. Subscriptions, Payments & Refunds

Paid plans (for example monthly, Pro Max annual, or team/custom pricing) grant access according to the plan you purchase. Prices and benefits are shown at checkout and on the pricing page and may differ by region (including India pricing where offered).

Payments are processed by third-party processors such as Stripe and/or PayU. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

  • Billing: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled according to the plan rules.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel future renewals from your account / billing portal or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not always entitle you to a partial refund for the current period unless stated otherwise.
  • Refunds: Where a money-back guarantee is advertised for a plan, eligibility follows the offer shown at purchase. Abuse (for example repeated trial cycling or content redistribution) may void refund eligibility.
  • Failed payments: We may suspend premium access until payment succeeds.

6. License to Learning Materials

All Platform content β€” lessons, diagrams, walkthroughs, drill cards, cheatsheets, code samples, videos, e-books, playgrounds, and branding β€” is owned by system design Roadmap or its licensors and protected by intellectual property law.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access content for your own learning and career development while your access remains active.

You may not:

  • Resell, publicly redistribute, or share paid course materials, private GitHub repos, or downloadable e-books outside your licensed use
  • Upload paid content to public repositories, torrents, or paid sharing groups
  • Scrape the Platform at scale or use automated harvesting to build competing datasets or courses
  • Remove copyright notices or claim authorship of our materials

Code you write while following exercises remains yours; our starter code, solutions, and proprietary labs remain ours unless a specific repo license says otherwise.

7. GitHub, Third-Party Tools & External Services

Some plans unlock private GitHub repositories. Access depends on a valid paid entitlement and a correctly linked GitHub identity. Revoking your subscription or violating these Terms may revoke repository access.

The Platform may link to Substack newsletters, forums, cloud providers, or other third-party services. Those services have their own terms; we are not responsible for their content or policies.

8. AI Features & Educational Outcomes

AI helpers on system design Roadmap are educational aids. Outputs may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for validating AI suggestions before using them in production systems, interviews, or employment decisions.

system design Roadmap does not guarantee job placement, interview success, salary outcomes, or that any architecture pattern will fit your production environment.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent activity
  • Attempt to bypass paywalls, access controls, or DRM-like protections
  • Attack, overload, or reverse-engineer Platform infrastructure beyond normal learning use
  • Share accounts or sell login credentials
  • Post malware, spam, or abusive content in forums or support chat

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

10. Team & Institutional Plans

Team or custom plans may include seat limits, progress reporting, and dedicated onboarding. The purchasing organization is responsible for seat assignment and for ensuring members comply with these Terms.

11. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED β€œAS IS” AND β€œAS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted access or that every lesson is error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, system design Roadmap, Daily Coding, and their affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Platform. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless system design Roadmap and its operators from claims arising out of your misuse of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another party’s rights.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves (new courses, payment methods, AI features, or legal requirements). The β€œLast updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, non-payment, or risk to other learners. Provisions that should survive (IP, liability limits, indemnity) survive termination.
